HEAL History

Helping Everyday Affects Lives, Inc. (HEAL) began its operations in 2016 to help diminished communities living at or below the poverty level obtain the help needed to maintain housing stability. Heal main form of support for the community came from a partnership with developers of low income housing in the Chicago area. This on going partnership gave Heal a place to house clients and provide supportive social services, while minimizing homelessness and bringing stability to devastated communities.

Since our startup, Heal has worked to expand its programs and goals to help everyday people from all walks of life. Our HEAL Housing Program (HHP) provides quality housing and individual case management support to adults and families living at properties across Chicago’s and neighboring suburbs. Our HEAL Outreach Team (HOT) provides support and services to chronically homeless men and women struggling with mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Our Life Skills Training Program is available to all HEAL program participants to help them build skills necessary for a more stable and productive lifestyle. Our aim has always been to keep people off the street and in their homes through all forms of emergency assistance and work to house veterans and seniors at increased risk of homelessness.
